Two songs for today, listen to one after the other for an emotional carousel, fast, before I go to play pictionary and watch B movies, one is a velvety dirge by the best band of last year I listened to today, Castanets , murky folk from the swamps and a ghoulish train heading down a gloomy mountain…to suddenly rise in the sky with the cookie monster in the locomotive powered by imaginary plastic guitar hair metal wings (Daft Punk, Rubicon and then this, gee, definitely French people do the ‘start of the Wheel of Fortune on speed jingle’ thing better than anyone else), now that’s Sebastian ‘bound to be a star’ Tellier saving you from the first depression of January, two moods in five minutes, ah, ah, this is too much.
Bye!
Ah, and on thursday, if you’re in Brighton, go to the Penthouse 8-11 for the Ladyfest event, then Nascent Nights in the Jazz Place or Artschool dropouts in the Engine rooms, both will be surely ace, keep busy and spend the dreaded January days drunk or hangover while supporting nights that truly deserve it, it’s a win win situation…bleep!

Simply great. Both of them!
Oh what a strange song that of Castanets. But, as I said: GREAT.

Glad you liked Mr! Yeah, its sort of weird that Castanets track, especially when taken out of the context of the album and put together with zombi, still I reckon it works well!
Thanks for reading & commenting

Wow…that Tellier track is fucking mental. Quite excited about the new album now- “L’Incroyable Verite” didn’t do much for me, but this is something else altogether…
Yours sincerely
