Out with the new, in with the old

Terrorgruppe Schwarzenraben - I’m ok, Your ok

Hey Ho, Let’s Go! is a chant shared by all my impatient pinhead loving brothers and sisters in this multiverse. Its also a nice sample the body and mind sharing Terrorgruppe Schwarzenraben have adopted in this p2p open source part of the mulitverse we live in.

Unlike the Ministry of Fear the state survives on and installs as the basis of consumer rule we all live under Mr & Mrs Cameron say it loud and proud, don’t be scared - Brothers and Sisters - we are not afraid of others!

They have obviously never lived in Liverpool, but we will forgive them cos they have written this wonderful little ditty based on hippy idealistics and semi Krautrock beats which mean I’m sure Julian Cope would agree. Thatcher twat and all that, 10 points for the Ramones sample, go straight to the bottom of the class war. Mad faux indie with its tongue in cheek to be put on your Walkman next to Cursor Minor and Datarock.

Terrorgruppe Schwarzenraben (remind me never to say that with a gobsucker in) is one half of Arling & Cameron and in another recent alias as Fluffy Target have written some stuff for the eagerly awaited return of non body fascist, Debbie Deb and Music For Robot loving (literally) NYC booty babes Avenue D.

Key, Money, Fags, Pigbag check.

What else do you need for a weekend out in Brighton? Well of course you need the eclectic Glimmer Twins and the excellent DFA records artist and ex member of Six Finger Satellite The Juan Maclean to be playing their kinda disco music in your house or at least at the Concorde 2, a large free tab at the bar some mind altering (essential in concorde 2 land) and more ladies than Ron Jeremy has known.

xxjfg could be in for a great weekend if it wasn’t for the complementary drinks tab and ladies. Shit happens. Apart from that it seems pretty biffing.

The Glimmers - Cassette

The Glimmer Twins or The Glimmers as they are now known thanks to some Mick and Keith references are like the old Soulwax.

People always call things “the new” why is never the old? Are old things bad? I like old cars and old houses. Old music is good too, so why not!

The Glimmers are older than Soulwax and do a share a similarly amazing skill at party djing as you can experience on the new !K7 Dj kicks compilation they compiled, as well being from Belgium.

This track by The Glimmers called Cassette according to Gary from It Came From The Sea only sounds like a bit of a filler on the pre mentioned !K7 compilation. On its own it pretty much rocks our world as far as dance music goes in this stagnant month (apart from OK Cowboy which obviously reigns in blood).

Shaking the bass down in a tribute to Pigbag’s classic and adding random distorted zark scratches like a very annoyed AI ant and some good old Stacker Humanoid type acid we are hoping this is indeed a starter for what The Glimmers are capable of.

Bring it on please, and make the sun shine out of your arse while your at it, we have had bad weather recently.

And now a word in the style of our good friends over at the excellent bumrocks and the increasingly vocal gigabytepicnic.

Death From Above 1979 - Little Girl (Masterkraft Edition)

This moment was brought to you by the new Channel 5 production “When Heavy Metal Bands Do Disco” presented by Richard Madeley and Gene Simons.

Have a nice weekend and remember kids - Rock Hard, Rock Heavy, Rock Animal.
