Man Deuce Death Ray

Judy Nylon - Room Without A View

The legend goes that as Brian Eno lay convalescing from an accident, Judy Nylon brought him a record of 18th-century harp music. While listening to it half awake with the volume turned down low, he discovered the magic of the space between sounds, of ambience.

Judy went on to appear on R.A.F. with Eno , about the much romanticized Baader Meinhof terrorists who were really not a very ambient bunch of people and quite partial to loud noises.

With its hypnotic Grace Jones and Lydia Lunch styling Room Without a View has to be my favorite non-punk song by the legendary Judy Nylon.

Room Without A View is almost psychedelic in its drifting soundtrack from Performance original heroin chic feel. The sort of lady your mum warned you about and you always wanted to get to know.

Filled with a very dark psychotic mood of dubbed blackoutness due to Judy’s unnerving predatorial vocal and the inclusion of musicians John Waddington of The Pop Group, Sean Oliver from Rip Rig and Panic and production by yer man Adrian Sherwood.

Once past sundown, this is my town…

Cannot help thinking Glass Candy should have covered this instead of that Iko Iko thing.

Deuce - What I Like Most is Hip-Hop

Young polish artist Piotrek Poloz makes his own kinda noise as Deuce and it’s a very contradictory sound.

Verging on the hyper silly and fun to jump around then lurching into intense bliss or impossible to dance to ambulance music linking happily between beautiful harmonic melody with digital noise. Sometime it works, sometimes it doesn’t but I’d rather have a rough diamond than a polished turd any day.

From the growing intensity of dark and devilish noise up to 1min 30secs you would never guess What I Like Most is Hip-Hop was actually going to be a dance track, but yep - after your ears have been pulverised have a dance on us.

So now you have your head round Deuce and what he likes most is hip-hop, hes a fully fledged homeboy kinda guy.

Deuce - What I Hate Most is Hip-Hop

So he hates hip-hop and what he likes is gameboys and scary backward sounding devil voices? Was he lying before?

What kind of person names there own album “we can make it better and faster than DEUCE!” which you can buy from Mik Music.

Buy two copies and send one back saying you hate one and you love the other one. That will learn em.

P.S. We get emails a lot, this one killed me.
