We built this city on hard naturally formed mineral or petrified matter and by moving forward along a surface by revolving on an axis.

Audio Flyer alert :

It Came From The Sea Soundsystem appearing at b’lo this Saturday with kicking k and nikon driver at the helm playing lots of songs with CAPITAL LETTERS. Last time they played this place the computer friend Daisy (R.I.P. tears, snuffle) blew up. It will be sweaty mayhem and they even play songs girls like.

Thanks to Drifiting in Paris for the nice live picture.

Poni Hoax - Budapest

Tigersushi were looking for a singer on a new project and it looks like they got one.

Budapest has these lifting Monty Norman/John Barry strings throughout that grow and grow pushing the track urgently along as your arms go slowly higher and higher in the air.

The crazy loud crunchy bits that remind us of Sir Alice’s Bouda is a Material Girl are to die for in this disco tinged giant crescendo.

Poni Hoax are playing live at the excellent Pop Montreal (who are nice enough to provide us with the Joakim Italo Dub remix of Budapest as hear on Ivan Smagghe’s Fabric mix) and so Goldkixx should be able to tell us what they are like live and what the rest of the material is like next time he has a chance to breathe.

Grand Funk Ralilroad - Sin’s is a good man’s brother

Someone went and put together a pop version of Sabbath, but for us English kids it don’t matter.

If Sin is a good man’s brother then brother I’m a sinner. Goodbye whatever indie cred we had with you America hipsters.

Ozzy has a special place in my heart and unlike when other bands become big and the “I only like their first 7″ white label” kicks in that has never happened even though he plays for the Queen on her birthday. When my girlfriend wakes up in the morning and cannot find her stuff she reminds me of a happy Ozzy and so does this with a bit more people shouting ‘Boogie’ and missing some heavyness.

They are an American band.

Thanks to the always popular Music for Robots to remind us of this 70’s rock epic.

Big slap on the back to the lovely To Here Knows When (for Justice,Pro Forma, White Rose Movement, Betty Botox and Whitey) and just as sexy bigstereo (for Debbie Deb, We are Wolves, Betty Botox, Shy Child and Mommy and Daddy).

Have a great weekend,
we luv you all (almost as much as Toni Iommi’s tash)
