Our brains have been destroyed by violence and saxophones
…but we ain’t gonna sue anyone…

Ninja Scroll! ninjas fighting demons! First time I saw a hardcore sex scene on TV! (Doggystyle wOOt!??) So much blood and arms being torn apart and this ninja who kills people by having sex with them! tattoos which are snakes that become snakes and bite a poison bite! a rain of shuriken!
Watching this sort of thing can do harm to the teenage brain. Look at me now, buying 5” vinyls for 7 quid and subjecting myself to the insanity that the hardcore Melt Banana is, this is from the italian tour split they did with Fantomas released by Unhip with artwork by Igort, who has also supplied the beautiful illustration of Pinnochio below.

It sounds like Scotch Egg remixing the Barcelona Pavillion (official site down sorry), or like the tiniest baddest ninja you ever imagined chopping off your toes one by one, strangely pop at the same time. It has been ripped at the ‘recommended playing speed’, which is 33 rpm in case you were wondering.
Some folks tried the 45 rpm and died, so watch out.
Gonna play this at the next Do so bring your motorbike helmets and be careful with Kai and Stuart when they start pulling those heavy spazztronics.

Glass Candy- I Always Say Yes (Demo?)
For those of you who have not noticed Glass Candy are putting all their old (and new?) demos for download on their myspace page. Are they trying to do us out of a job? Being as most of the Tour cds never made it the uk this is an awesome gift for us as tracking them all down on ebay/chat rooms/forums/p2ps has taken up a fair chunk of last year.
Since the Yeah Yeah Yeahs kinda stole Glass Candy screeching glam rock thunder its no secret there star studded disco direction has been killing the dance floors of Brighton clubs (shout outs itcamefromthesea and detournement massive) making people dance like jerky monkeys and even inducing air saxaphoning the likes of which hasn’t been seen since Baker Street.
I Always Say Yes grooves through Moscow Discow, picking up passengers like Quentin Crisp who we may find having an extended melodic amour with a GDMM (Great Dark Megatron Man) in the vicinity of the cocktail bar while a breathless Nico joins the Mael brothers in there Number One hit song from the celestial regions of the cosmos.
Xxjfg would like to hope that the great cross continental railway will drop Glass Candy off in the sunny seaside town of Brighton this summer with The Chromatics in the backseat, but at the moment its all just a breathtaking dream.
