Are zombies mutants?!
Is this one of these posts where the 20JFG guys don’t write about music but about made up movies with zombies and bikers and nazis and surfers and shoegazers and monkeys wearing leather trousers blah because they don’t know that much about music and anyway it’s more fun to bullshit, Lester Bang’s school of rock mythology beats Nick Kent’s and Everett true’s ‘I was there they did this and that and there was this band before and I broke this band lolz’ (who cares man, who cares?) anyday…
And anyway, we’re not bullshitting today, we’re being honest.
And fast.

Zombi are pushing things forward: Zombi are pushing yellow teeth attached to rotten bloody gums attached to a drooling jaw attached to a misshapen head attached to a stumbling body attached to a sad planet spinning mad and lonely throughout the blackness of space, nowhere is the place, they are pushing those teeth inside a brain, connecting, yes?
The track we are posting today, Night Rhythms is the tour de force in Zombi’s forthcoming album, ‘Surface to Air’, which is released in glorious 3d bloodsplattering stereo by Relapse at the beginning of May, ‘Surface to Air’ could well be this years’s remedy for the Delia Gonzalez & Gavin Russom starved rotten souls, and we can’t recommend it enough, pre-order it now and shudder.
30 years of Horror Movie Soundtrack history condensed in 18 minutes of synth snakes that go past you and through you and between you like those Kandarian demon trees, like oily Miyazaki worms, the echoes of big names we have mentioned six hundred and sixty times resonate here, and not only them but also the eerie vibrations summoned by legions of anonymous hacks whose music has brought spotty teenagers a bit closer in sketchy movie drive-ins, doritos crumb covered sofas, the works since 1950something. Ah, gross. And then, every baby cries the same, the horror, oh, the horror.
Some of these babies, as you readers of comic books, one of the most reliable sources of information about the world (better than fox or sky for sure), know, become mutants.

The usual deal, some of them cry different, think of banshee, yeah, they have like, super-powers and the rest of it. They start wearing fancy tights and prance around and fight moronic unevolved human bigots and mischievous villains and mad scientists and the odd nazi, some of them have unusual skills, forget telepathy and telekinesis, this ain’t no Charles Xavier baldy, this is the legendary Professor X from back in the NWA days, just cloned by Clone in the Statix 12” which includes as a B side the legendary Professor X (Saga) we’re just posting today, you so want on vinyl you little bitches, check him out shooting ass whipping crispy like Syclops blinky blinky electro-beats, high drama bass waves and modulated hypnotic super-science lyrics, those exposed to it without wearing the Acme trademarked lead helmet can’t help but start throwing shapes and stuff.
Professor X- Professor X (Saga)
Wear the helmet and look like Rick Moranis in Space Balls (go to page 63) or pop a hip trying to breakdance (page 245)…choose your own adventure!
Some conundrum!
Thanks to everyone who came to 20 Jazzfunkgreats at the Penthouse on Friday, and the Do after, especially our super-drunk yet suave like the sexy wizard he is there’s only one Lord Nuneaton Savage …
