I Was going to write an erudite super-long post about Hawnay Troof’s sexual politics and such but then I started playing Sissyfight2000 (I’m hardcore) and spent way too much time, you know, bullying people around the playground and saying that emo sucks big ballz lol. So it’s late and the evil agressive instincts that usually keep me going are very gone. Let’s see what we can do! With awesome music such as this there’s always a way jose.

It’s going to be Hawnay Troof year, after the release of the shit-ass-kicking Community EP we reviewed last xmas, and his double LP Dollar and Deed coming out soon (both in retard Disco) , there’s also the awesome ghettoblasting sold out Hollar and See cd-R mixtape preview of the album which sees him, the Ian Svenonius of the teengeekbeat revolution doing a whiteboy MC with that large-as-fuck-throwback splash bringing to mind Beastie Boys when they were fresher than Fido Dido, some not as simple as you thought machine beats and ideas flying left and right like Tron’s neon zeta binary reticula, you know what I mean…

And now let’s get back to the 60s…we love Troubled Mind by the Buff Medways so much when we found out about the Buffets, this hit and run all girl band true tribute to the beauty of all that’s punk rock, garage and ephimerous were covering it in their Saucy Jack album we wet ourselves, or would have if we hadn’t been wearing nappies. Yeah, beats soiled jeans any day smartass.

Anyway, you know the story, The Buffets were formed, recorded an LP, played a gig and split up in the interval of a week, and I know it’s a cliche but they fucking rock like all those idiots out there in the cover of NME (cheap shot, sue me) etc. don’t (and can’t, cunts). How would they not, covering as they are the canon of that Mr. Billy ’surely better hats & moustache that than Jack White git’ Childish with the applomb of Afrirampo riding yr pal foot foot, Shocking Blue invented heavy metal and the rest is secret history still alive, I would tell you but I need some sleep, check Sleater Kinney’s last album etc, night night kids!!
