Do something

The political music I like doesn’t have any sloganeering in it, it’s not a pamphlet, it’s not about easy solutions to hard problems, it’s not about rules to live all lives by, it won’t try to impose any commandments in my brain because that’s not the way to convince my heart, and I know there ain’t easy solutions anyway. No, my favourite political music puts the horror that surrounds us in the foreground like a bleak blood-splattered concrete wall, and cracks it open with true spirit, offering a glimpse of hope, of a better place. And then we start thinking about the solutions.

There were dead children on TV today. I think I can hear their ghosts here.

This Heat- Health and Efficiency

What can I say about This Heat that hasn’t been said, they are simply one of the most important bands ever.

From Out of Cold Storage.

It’s the Do tomorrow, and it makes me proud that Parts and Labor will be playing there. You can feel the heart of a revolution beating in their music, stand up and be counted people.
