20JFG vaguely talks about the 8O’s, Part 435

Deep within a dank dungeon full of shifting shadows, you can part thick cobwebs to find a corner hidden in pitch black cold. Suede lay dead on the stone floor; they’ve already been dealt with. An old record player crackles out the sound of an LP by The Cure, the title track, a ranting mess from the 8O’s that is indebted to the pieced together sound clips and looped vocal work of early Cabaret Voltaire, but is a million miles away from the goth-Madness sound of “Love Cats”.
But in this chamber of sparse blue light and dry ice, Robert Smith’s vocals sound oddly different, and the music has been replaced with a deadly pounding funeral shuffle with rusted fog horns wailing from the ghost of the Titanic far out to sea. Once the vocals begin repeating, its obvious that we are back in Shining Violence territory. Chromatics vocalist, Adam Miller, screams into the abyss only to hear himself screaming back as the guitar and effects sludge of the original is stripped back to leave the bare bones, like a jittering death-disco skeleton. It runs its course until exhaustion and fades out to the sound of melted laser guns and the pressure from other dimensions pushing through eases off.

Ah, PiL. PiL make you believe that Sex Pistols never existed or that it was all just a bad dream. Here they perform Careering live on the Old Grey Whistle Test (to the delight of the presenter at the end) and show Primal Scream how lost in the k-Hole dub menace should sound:
PiL - Careering (Live on The Old Grey Whistle Test, 1980)
John Lydon is clearly a bit of a cunt, we all know this from various exposure to him (remember I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here? er, yeah I didn’t watch it either…), but here he alternates between performing as if there is no-one else in the room and grimacing at his bandmates, wailing and gnashing at them while various synthesizers are violated and set fire to. The Primal Scream-slaying dub throb looms over you like attack of the 50ft Martin Rev, and the guitars are chopped at with the splinters from the synths.
And here it is:
