War! What is it good for? Dancing.
A few years back, the underground popularity of Electroclash and its plundering of all things 8O’s, helped to beam Italo Disco back into the limelight. Unlike Punk Funk, its stood the test of time and not been forgotten or replaced with The Next Big Thing. Its been spirited into darker, colder places by Chromatics and the guys from Digitalo, or blasted into space on African spacecraft by the Feedelity and DC Recordings massive.

Parallels is the italian robot alter-ego of Guido Findlay, yet another fighter pilot that has been enlisted into the Italians Do It Better fleet of star destroyers. They are ready to come out of warp-drive and enter our solar system, all lasers blazing.
“Magnetic Friends” opens with the crisp synthesised bass reminiscent of I-F with added drum pads and synth lines that map out some sort of galaxy spanning circuitry formation. Vocodered vocals act as a catalyst and the whole thing sparks into life.
You can check more out at hot blog ON-OFF where they are hosting the Miami Beach circa 2525AD track “Ghost Machine”. Kudos to those guys for bringing Parallels first!

Now for some classy classique to compliment the new. If the IDIB armada of spaceships are the welcoming committee sent to kick off the coming galactic disco wars, then ‘Lectric Workers with second and third in command, Klein & MBO and A Number Of Names, are the great war mongers who do it for the glory of the discopolic gods, Patrick Cowley and Gaz Nevada. They will arrive in the aftermath to survey the glittering war torn terrains.
Message From Future - Robot Is…
An alias of ‘Lectric Workers, Message From Future deliver an alternate version of the italo anthem ‘Robot Is Systematic’. Its way more skeletal and less propulsive than the main version, with spindly keyboard structures, but the cheesy vocals are kept fully intact. The perfect soundtrack to laser-beam assisted silver-suited death and carnage, nes pas?
