Live from Dulwich

We expect a lot of you dear reader.

We expect you to know by now the mighty Rother, Rotherand Moebius - if not have their face tattooed on your genitalia as a sign of respect.

A lazy blogger would give you a link to the (woefully under contributed) Harmonia Wikipedia entry, but we expect you to read our over wordy imaginings of the sights, sounds, emotions, feelings and smells these moving waves make flow from our hands.

For here lies less of the motorik and more of the Eno/Fripatronics inspiring experimentation with the joy of harmonious playful repetition these fine gentleman have such a symbiotic way of enhancing our lives with.

The good good people of Groenland have in their infinite wisdom seen fit to deliver from the depths of time Harmonia live 1974, 5 tracks of under produced experimentation only heard before by rabid eccentrics on the p2p networks in various forms.

If you’re a new convert through the plethora of artists currently dropping krautrock as an influence, looking for an accessible introduction to Harmonia/Cluster this isn’t it. If you’re a Head Heritage reader, you’ve probably already come in your pants at the prospect of these rare gems.

Harmonia - Ueber Ottenstein

Dear reader, are you ready to enter prog-disco Hell? Come now, past the crypt entrance in Dulwich Cemetery and into the moist insect haven. Peer into the pitch-dark vacuum of the underworld. There is no return from this chaotic place, white spins into black as a tentacled creature drags you into the twisting eye of the monochrome storm. Each separate drum beat represents a demon of depraved terror and each vintage synthesised blast illuminates the great unimaginable beast itself in lurid Argento technicolor.

DC Recordings are the masters of all pan-dimensional alien evilfunk and they have now travelled to Dunwich and fought off H.P. Lovecraft’s most despicable demons and also City Of The Living Dead’s gut-vomiting zommmmbbieeeess to bring you Goblin’s rightful heir to the blood drenched throne, Giallos Flame, with new 12″ ‘Live from Dunwich’.

Giallos Flame - Body Snatchers

Fucking hell, its as if GF have viewed 20JFG’s sweat-soaked nightmares and committed the soundtrack to analogue tape!

This is the point in our X-rated grindhouse nitevision when the killer is waiting in the shadows of moonlit Piazza Del Popolo. He glides effortlessly through the darkness as we run in panic and white hot fear, our brains filled with the blood pulse and a thousand drums pounding at different free-jazz beats. The glint from the knife shines off from the water that streams from the mouth of a stone lion in the fountain. An Italian whisper, a slash of the blade, no scream but a gurgle, blood spilling into the fountain from a gaping throat gash. A drop of blood falls like a tear down the cheek of the stone cold lion as the killer calmly walks away in his finely tailored Italian suit.

Talking about death and cosmic horror, this is what awaits for the Brightonian peoples this hallowed weekend of despair and brain destruction, ho ho.
