Dream baby dream

We already told you some time ago about Jazzanova-curated ‘Computer Incarnations for World Peace’, what a feast of warm synths and soulful positive vibes this compilation is!
But one has to be a total wanker to use the expression ’soulful positive vibes’!
So let’s just call it the prettiest cloud ever to descend from 80s heaven to rain love over our battered yet hopeful brains, napper.
Yet how truthfully does the previous cliche applies, at a non-ironical level, to blurry images of innocent peoples with kinky afros gamboling up and down a Garden of Eden yet uncorrupted by the coffee table crap explosion of the 90s. 20JFG have a long history of violence, yet see them appeased for a few second as they take a metaphorical toke of the baroque pipe of post-hippie bliss.
Special Touch- Living on the Garden of Life

The aforementioned comp is named after a lovely piece of space disco summoned from Utopia, through etheric conduits where the golden fishies of spiritual harmony swim merry, by French synth wizard/jazz composer Jean-Luc Ponty, here you have another delicate trip signed by him, included in the very aptly titled (and illustrated!) ‘Cosmic Messenger’ album
But the sound of the naiads nimbly stepping out of the pond by which thy passed out after a long & exhausting trip up the rocky crags where Vangelis located their mystery garden, to tickle a gently snoring face with golden locks as their lips descend to plant a sweet kiss on thy rosy cheek.
And now let us press fast forward into the present to check out two of the choicest tunes to be released this hallowed year of cosmic delights, I think you will find the heart-shaped DNA spiral of gentle beauty that gave shape to the previous compositions lying warm and comfortable inside the luxurious structure of these two iridiscent jewels, which not fortuitously shared space in that rather awesome Lindstrom & Prins Thomas Essential Mix that has illuminated our lives since the end of the Spring:

‘Here Today’, B-side of Al Usher’s fantastic Gnanfou Ep unfolds its sweet cadences like a giant bat about to take off from Mayan pyramids hidden in the midst of the jungle, not on a hunting or reconnaisance mission, but with the sweeter goal of elevating its Amazon rider high into the sky so she can witness the Sunrise extend over the horizon in all its transfixing glory
Synthetic harmonies unfurl like playful tendrils of a morning mist summoned by Steve Reich and Laurie Spiegel, which rays of light then pierce to create a psychedelic kaleidoscope/sonic labrynth where getting lost is the only way to go.

Aeroplane’s’ self-titled tune is the A side of a perfect 12” just released by classy Belgian label Eskimo, its majestic strings remind me of past classics of alt.disco such as ‘In the Trees’ by Faze Action or Metro Area’s Miura, this is a passionate love letter sent by composer to music machines and happily reciprocated, the melodies and arpeggios of this synthetic gem sound like Chris & Cosey on a break from smut & make something inside us melt like eyes into tears or Anctartidan ice licked by the exhaust of a retrofuturistic satellite of love propelled into the sky to orbit Earth in a perfect elipse with which we close this post.
Let us give a warm welcome to new kids in the block Fervent Moon, go and check out rare out-of-print tunes they bring you with utmost love & taste, I reckon this is goint to turn into something rather special, thanks to Deano for pointing us in their direction.
