The Power of Independent Flipping

Drunkdriver make trouble like a polstergeist manifesting itself black & red in the power tool section of the appliance store of that lost village of the dustbowl from whence a rogue whirlwind took Dorothy to the land of Oz where she was attacked by a swarm of vicious flying monkeys who had undoubtedly been listening to Drunkdriver before going all blitzkrieg on her ass.
Turn it up.
Which is the kind of full-on industrial hardcore rattlesnake shake to turn your 20JFG roadkill frisbee lurching dorks on an electrified berserk power-trip, we hadn’t been thrilled so harshly by such lunatic energy since Todd shot up some Big Black up their ankle and became chainsaw toting Hills have eyes style psychos, dirty shit, and that’s the truth, ruth.
This is from their practice tapes, can’t wait to see where they go from here, you can probably find them if you follow the trail of corpses.
And now we would like to welcome to our filthy den one rather awesome Ms. Bianca O’Blivion, who has sent us a sweet & discordant postcard from L.A., dope stuff you can throw mattresses around to, we look forward to future features from her and smile as the bad moon rises into the sky, thank yoo Bianca!

Think double back handspring with a round off back flip or something, topped off with a bit of cowbell and casio keys…and as their name suggests, they like to say fuck a lot. Ima Fucking Gymnist are the latest posse of underage punk prodigies hailing from the Smell/olFactory dynasty. With a sound akin to their SF Valley peers Mika Miko, it’s no wonder they have followed in their tradition of riling up a room full of eager sweaty bodies to break out in a pogo thrash party jam. Maritza’s cheeky vocals have an almost muppet-like effect (which works especially well with lyrics like ‘dude, you’re so freakin’ juicy’) as she shouts, chants and yelps to the beat. The fast and heavy bass and drum combo is reveals their crusty punk underpinnings, yet they lay it down with just enough playful sass and humor to balance the raucous energy. Their 7′ debut ‘…So Freakin’ Juicy!’ (olFactory Records) is full of post-high school angst while at the same time making fun of said angst. Here’s their track ‘We’re Professionals’ cuz they ‘do this every fuckin’ day’…hey, who can deny those credentials?
I’m a Fucking Gymnist- We’re Professionals

FEAST! Lo-res high energy dance party disco carnage WHOOP
Like the club mix of this.
Thanks to Faux Fox for decorating our myspace board ting with such ghastly delights, and to Alice for identifying it, and to Troma for being Troma. Winner.
