Sounds in Negative Space

When we were sent, and subsequently hosted, a mixtape by French neo-kraut kid Turzi there was a whole host of greatness slyly warped into one another. Greatness like Nico free-falling backwards through dark mind tunnels, Ash Ra Tempel unfolding vast crystal structures in amber-colored glass caves under the forests and Ennio Morricone’s sounds of monocrome back alley crime syndicates. The emphasis was on ‘the dark’, hence our immediate appreciation.
The whole thing began with ‘Night Rain’ by Deuter, a simple piano refrain conjuring images of giant ninjas petrified in stone and floating in space, firing off crepe-paper shurikens that burn up in the atmosphere of planets. Occasionally these stone ninjas would be pulled by the gravity force of worlds and fall as meteorites cutting green and blue flaming scars across fuscia nite skies.

Not mixtape featured but still in-keeping, Tim Blake, master of silver suited laser-guided precission-prog has touched down on Earth’s surface, stepping out of the green smoke time tunnel to the tones of interplanetary rebirth and crushing tidal gravity.
‘Metro/Logic’ is an echoed section of the time/space continuum, an afro-future jamboree absorbing all the greats that came before, during and after and twisting them into a Eno shaped cosmic cloud of dry ice and emerald beams. Tim travels to the distant future where he runs a silver gloved hand across the tops of the frozen cities that he finds, rings out the glove and makes songs with the boiled down liquid essence pumped into his starcruiser’s main command panels.

But if its true cosmonautical suicide and abandon that you are searching for, look no further than the farthest fringes of dead space as the flagship of the Peru armada comes out of warpdrive cloaked in the burning phosphorous of negative space and the cloudy residue of forgotten dimensions.
The ships external speakers are in an endless cycle of implosion and electrical rejuvenation as ‘Deja Vu’ coils and unfurls at deafening volume and condemned prisoners (for Peru is a warship) are jetisoned off into the endless burning black heavens for crimes against robotkind.
