Neon Aztec have sent us the sonic equivalent of a glorious snow storm that doesn’t leave a collapsed transport system on its wake, you can ride a makeshift sledge down the pretty & pristine hills of this wonderful music with a childish smile of joy, press play again when you get to the bottom for an awesome redux.

We told you about the wondrous melodic spiral gaze of Natural Numbers a couple of weeks ago, well, here you have an exclusive from his forthcoming album, ‘Comma’. Behold, because this is the stuff that dreams upon the wild prairie are made of, a supernatural rainbow is picked up from the sky, ends tied together with deft hands into a pretty bow of stuff ethereal and translucent which covers your snugly sleeping body like a hand-made blanket decorated with enigmatic shapes of fantastic birds and animals.

Spirit Spine spreads his hands with a smile, and between them stretch neon coloured wills o’ the wisps which are arranged around your room most delicately to create a tunnel of halos which ends at a glimmering gate in your ceiling, if you slide inside this path and levitate past the gate you will find yourself standing not in the sad mess of your neighbours’ flat above, but on top of a warm mesa from which you can behold an orgy of orange and red as twin suns set over an alien landscape of ravishing beauty. This is the sound of Panda Bear if he was into Arthur C. Clarke instead of Walt Whitman.
Spirit Spine- Crashers (Highs and Lows)
Find it included in his self-titled album, available at iTunes.

Welcome new star shining in a black velvet sky Silent Talk, whose nocturnal anthem Ghostmoon will soundtrack many a wistful drift across silent cat-filled streets signposted with arabesque glyphs, shadows stretching and contracting alive as the humming of machines squeezed to distil the pure essence of mystery envelop you in a weird yet somehow homely purple cocoon against which the waves of space and time crash, break and roll back defeated.
And just as a bonus, because both us and Neon Aztec heart you, here you have Love’s Go, a beautiful jaunt which sounds like High Places if they were more into Brian Eno, its understated coda is the echo of a music box abandoned in the corner of an old cellar whose pretty ballerina spins to the melody of a forgotten italo gem.
