Neon Gay Terror Caves

Featuring:

Bim Marx, Disco Devil & Slava

Where all the best disco is played.

Take this slinky cut from Disco Devil as a good example. Returning with another 12″ of strutting Bengal tiger-pop, DD takes the satanic chanting and slow motion percussion of previous 12″ “Everybody’s Mantra” by Mike Burns and the cold barren heart of Rubber Room’s “Take Me”, and relocates the spirits to the home of no.1 celebrity terrorist Bin Laden who, sitting atop a throne of evil with maniacal grin and red fire eyes, soaks the de-constructed beats in liquid anthrax before loading the contents into a slow motion missile and locking the target to the dancefloor.

Disco Devil – Taliban Discotheque

Being the edit suite extraordinare of IDIB/TINAE signing Professor Genius and NY DJ Duane Harriott, Bim Marx is a concept that fine Italian tailoring and glistening champagne was made for. After some alluring purrs from a sprayed golden Nubian princess, the dirty stuff starts to really pump with low hung bass rolls, sexaroid Liquid Liquid percussion and ’70s lazer bubbles building to a froth.

The Bim Marx 12″, “Stronger”, can be obtained here – featuring a further 3 tracks of discoball epicness drenched in cocaine.

Bim Marx – Strong Arms/Love Me Baby

And now for something deadly to end this imagined night of dancing demons and drugged nymphoids. Slava hail from Chicago and weave dramatic ’80s 808s together with beautifully sequenced polar ice-cap synths that arch around the Earth by way of Pluto, occasionally incorporating House beats and indiscriminate early Warp styled electro.

“Dark Dreams” brings on the fear, the fear of being stalked by a malevolent force through a city with no people left, just the automated machines that have taken over, cars swerving into your path leading you towards an horrific end on the freeway where the headlights stream into each other amidst your panic.

  5. Brilliant collection of tunes. That Slava track is like the dystopian flip-side to Marshall Jefferson’s ‘Open Our Eyes’. And it’s just as beautiful. Many thanks.

  6. Hi
I don’t understand… the Disco Devil track is just an edit of A. Mislayene’s “El Fen”(http://www.discogs.com/A-Mislayene-Yémma-El-Fen/release/1349377)…

  7. Hi
If there was one person against Islamic fundamentalism was fine Ait meslayene (Kabylia- Algeria 1944-2000). He lived free, against all form of oppression. Call it ” Taliban disco”is an insult to his memory. What about the copyright ?

    Yours sincerely
