Hey, hello there, how are you doing? We are fine thank you, feeling slightly apologetic for the lack of updates over the summer, well, you know, it’s the summer, you should be out there in the park chasing around priests in an unhinged carnival of pagan blood and fury, or perhaps laying on some beach tripping your ass off on a kaleidoscope of crazy lights and vibes too slow to be actually hedonistic.
We are not doing any of these things. We are burrowing deep into our lairs away from the sun that hurts us, sharpening our claws and our fangs, scrawling with feathered fountain pens on yellow scrolls from the vertigo inducing tops of precarious stools, and what are you sharpening your claws and fangs for, you 20jazzfunkgreats curmudgeons, you ask curious, what are you scribbling in your twisted scripts? You are ugly, and hard enough to understand as you are right now, you inhabitants of the black pit where the darkest sounds spill thick and nutritious, why make things even worse?
Well, there is a reason for this, you apprentices of the unaware and fellow travellers down the path of mystery, we are but laying down a trap for you, we are outlining the plan in our human-skin bound grimoires, we are getting ready to destroy the shackles that keep you bound to the pillars of reality in an onslaught of azure magick, and bind you forever to the dark throne from which we rule our dark kingdom, it’s going to be you and us forever little children, Jesus was here to check our crib. And he… wept.
But hey, why don’t you forget everything we said and enjoy the summer while it lasts, we are after all but waiting around the corner brandishing vicious daggers, when the sun goes down it will be our time. Here you have a couple of happy tunes to make the proceedings even more enjoyable.

Kick off jerky with The Widow Babies, next in OlFactory Records‘ wonderful schedule of releases, they have the uplifting party vibes grind down to a tee, and when I say tee I mean tee as in a tee with a team of unicorns doing high fives and stuff. You know when a good hardcore tune begins with a riff which is the shape of a fist clenching shut to punch through concrete walls, lies and pretence? Well, the riff that kicks off Harp of 1000 strings is the shape of a hand waving whatever spells to turn that wall into chili chocolate which is then melted with the heat of cool stomping drums and jangly Nigerian melodies somewhere in between the Slits and Paul Simon. Hello sun, let’s go and have a dance.
The Widow Babies- Harp of 1000 Strings

And now for something completely different, but similar if you know what I mean, Sorcerer, the man. We showed you the video for Chemise a couple of weeks ago, here you have the tune, as included in his forthcoming album ‘Neon Leon’. What can I say about this cool strutter? It is music for a ASCII animation of Corey Feldman pulling dance moves in the schematic rendition of a 1980s new wave club, at some point it realises it is being watched and jumps down the rabbit hole of your modem vortex and from there surfs into into the global telecommunication networks, to jam forever between the orange gradient switches of the analogue diaspora. Very sweet.

Whoa. I was just directed here by a friend who also prefers her music to bludgeon her into a fine goo.
Your writing is excellent, by which I mean your writing sends me down black holes of thought from which I emerge half-eaten and wasted.
