Everybody gets exactly what they want. While I can’t explain why in the world we wanted 2009 to be so bad, this metaphysical law is fantastic now because everyone wants 2010 to rule. Anyone with a twitter or facebook account knows what I’m talking about. “2010 is gonna rule!” is the quote of the day and no one wants to fuck with it. 2009? Fuck that year. 2010? Too good to even wipe its own axx! It is all about attitude. Sass. And no one has got more of it than tik///tik in his web-only celebration of the death of 2009. By the sound of things, I wonder if tik///tik actually murdered 2009. If so, we are all in his debt. Listen to this and have pride. Listen to this knowing that karma doesn’t exist and that your middle finger is the lightning rod by which 2010 shall ascend to the stage of love.
UK-side, everyone is far more in control of their emotions. Yet, they are all stoked about 2010 as well. In fact, I predict an end to football riots in the year 2010. (Those exist, right? Here in the USA we used to look down at England from our Twin Towers with a pair of binoculars. This was what we called “British History” although everyone still looked like ants. Now that the towers are gone, we honestly have no idea what is happening in the UK and have returned to our national pastime of making teeshirts. But I digress.) Anyway, Internet Forever, are fully on board with the whole joy and kisses thing. Since they most likely are the British ambassadors to the web, this is a great sign of things to come.
