You can’t see it, but the Ooze is all around us all the time. It is an invisible and supernaturally charged substance with a thick, gloopy codeine consistency. When we sleep it envelopes us completely, keeping us safe in our beds and not walking around outdoors case we get shot by a redneck zombie-hunter. Sometimes it seeps into our dreams making those times where our movement is sluggish, and silently we shout know-not-what into its hebetudinous mass.
Sometimes the Ooze seeps into our stereos, subliminally blanketing their circuitry, seeping into wires and travelling silently through cones. No one had ever heard the sound of the Ooze until Streetwalker assembled the correct configuration of analogue devices in sequence, and picked up its signal. They are a duo comprised of Beau Wanzer and Elon Katz, both as you know coming straight outta Chicago. And so it goes that at night, the Oooze becomes opiate stealth-house whose target market is feral outback-mutants tuning into the ether, to hear the voice of their creator. It lies here in isolation, because the entirety of its winding dimensions deserves your full attention.
Ooze is out on a 2 track cassette released by Catholic Tapes and you can pick it up here. Stream Hi-Q here.
