Flow up, like blossom scent in still air.

Featuring:

Sensations' Fix

RVNG continue dredging the depths of the Sea of History, and deploying the treasures thus amassed as blueprints for the constituent countries, nay, provinces, or ambiances (there are no boundaries here) of a utopia inoculated against invasion and decadence, thanks to the division of labour between knights and bravos such as those we described yesterday, and prophets of a cosmic gospel that is thankfully true because it is all-encompassing, it blooms within everyone who listens.

Italian progressive avatars Sensations’ Fix are clearly part of the latter group, in communion with other masterminds of the transalpine head (or Brain, rather) movement, Ash Ra most particularly.

And what is their role in this place that is no place?

Easy – they produce infomercials for utopia. Imagine the promo videos for Rekall Incorporated but directed by Terrence Malick – exploding with vistas to lure pilgrims dissatisfied with the mainstream, as well as seductive sections of a no-osphere as yet unexplored (for this utopia expands upwards) to keep the locals enthused with the sustained prospect of adventure and discovery.

As the late Ray Bradbury stated in his introduction to the Martian Chronicles, ‘It is good to renew one’s wonder. Space travel has again made children of us all’. Hear hear, we have our rockets.

Sensations Fix – Dark Side of Religion

As included in Music is Painting in the Air, a collection of 30+ new mixes and unheard music from Sensations’ Fix’s ’74 – ’77 output being released in September.

It’s a love thing.
