Here you have another postcard from where the sun shines, signed by our best friend Felix. You can imagine the picture. Total good vibes, enjoy and say thanks in the box at the bottom of the page.

I don’t remember how I arrived to ‘Os Afro-Sambas’- Well, actually my friend Adrián de Alfonso (Veracruz) talked about this record in his page. It was the first Brazilian music record I listened to. Afterwards would come other discoveries, via research and recommendations. But ‘Os Afro-Sambas’ will always be different. It has the energy of rock from the no-rock, from the opposite.

Vinicius de Moraes- Canto de Ossanha

Neither should you miss out on his live recording with Maria Bethania & Toquinho. I have been looking for a long time for a book about the history of bossa nova and its definitive records.

Vinicius de Moraes – Canto de Xangô

Evripidis is a Greek kid from Barcelona who should have been born in the early days of the Great Wall of Sound. He’s got many melodies inside his head, chorus and doo-woop. He seems to be one of those characters from a lost generation, and when he plays you his demos he gets all excited and starts playing the piano and presets and says ‘here come the girls’ voices’, and starts doing falsettos and imitate the ladies’ voices and it’s awesome.

‘All those Summer Parties’ is the summer song. I can’t say much more, you just listen.
